Frequently asked questions
Air Canada travel vouchers, Aeroplan points and travel credits
You may have requested to convert your ticket value to an Air Canada Travel Voucher. If so, you would have received a confirmation email from CustomerCare.ServiceClient@aircanada.ca or actravelvoucher@aircanada.ca with the following subject line: ‘Your Air Canada Travel Voucher has arrived’. The email would have included a 15-digit travel voucher number (for example: 144401799902678).
Please check your inbox or junk folder to see if you can locate the email. You will need your 15-digit travel voucher number to get your refund request started.
If you already have an Air Canada Travel Voucher, Aeroplan points conversion, or eCoupon and want to transfer the value to your original form of payment instead, you can request a refund by simply filling out this refund request form.
Please check your inbox or junk folder for a confirmation email from CustomerCare.ServiceClient@aircanada.ca or actravelvoucher@aircanada.ca with the following subject line: ‘Your Air Canada Travel Voucher has arrived’. Yes, however you need to make two refund requests in this order:
1. Submit a refund request using the Air Canada Travel Voucher number you received from your second flight cancellation. We will process your refund back to your original Air Canada Travel Voucher and send a confirmation email.
2. Once you receive this email confirmation, you need to make another refund request using the Booking Reference and Air Canada Travel Voucher numbers associated with your first cancelled flight. We will then process a refund back to your original form of payment and send another confirmation email.
To get your refund request started, simply have your booking reference number and last name ready and remember to select the second option: ‘I don’t have a travel voucher’.
This means that Air Canada has started processing your refund. As part of our two-step process, we need to first reduce the value of your Air Canada Travel Voucher or the number of points in your Aeroplan account before the refund can be confirmed and sent through for final processing.
The delay between these two steps may vary depending on how many requests have come in, or whether additional processing time is required to complete the refund to the original form of payment.
